The following is a list of drug resources available for access from any computer connected to the Internet on the FSU campus and via our EZProxy for off-campus access (http://med.fsu.edu/library/RemoteAccess.asp).


Epocrates Online Premium - ePocrates is a clinically relevant program to aid doctors in their daily care of patients and is both timely and accurate. ePocrates Online Premium features include:
• Over 2,800 drug monographs, including off-label uses.
• Patient education information in English and Spanish.
• Pill identification search (by characteristics or imprint code) and pill pictures.
• Formulary information for hundreds of health plans and hospitals.
• Drug interaction search among up to 50 drugs and/or alternative medicines at once.
• Alternative medicine monographs, clinical tables and guidelines.
Epocrates Online Premium and Epocrates Essentials are also available in PDA format for FSU COM faculty, students and staff. Epocrates Essentials includes Epocrates Rx Pro, Epocrates SxDx (disease and diagnosis reference), and Epocrates Lab (diagnostic and laboratory test reference).

Facts & Comparisons - This extensive drug reference includes the following modules and monographs searchable from a single search interface: Facts and Comparisons, Drug Interaction Facts, Herbal Interaction Facts, MedFacts Patient Information, A to Z Drug Facts, Review of Natural Products, Off-Label Drug Facts, Cancer Chemo Manual, Nonprescription Drug Therapy, and Investigational Drugs. A drug identification tool is included, along with an interactive search engine for identifying drug-food-herbal interactions.

Medical Letter - This is the online version of the highly regarded Medical Letter newsletter with enhanced functionality. Limited number of simultaneous users.

Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database - This is a database on natural medicine products that can be used by keyword search in the database. You can find any product by scientific name, common name, or brand name. Find any product by ingredient, or search by any one of dozens of different combinations of criteria. Limited number of simultaneous users.

PEPID - PEPID Clinical Rotations Companion (CRC) is specifically designed as an indispensable aid in the clinical rotation environment and contains the full professional suite of PEPID products. It contains information from detailed history and physical exam information, to admission orders, to specific disease diagnostic and treatment information. It also contains a Drug Database that includes includes over 7,500 drug, herbal and OTC generic and trade names with extensive kinetics and mechanism of action information, and adult and pediatric dosing with built-in dosing calculators.
